Technology and Innovation Strategist, Educator
SuAnne Fu has more than 20 years of industry experience in immersive computing and creative technology. During her time as faculty at SCAD, she has earned the Professor Emerita honor for her years of contribution in higher education and is currently serving as the Dean of School of Creative Technology. SuAnne is an active member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, Conference Organizing Committee for the Foundations of Digital Games (FDG 2021), ACM Siggraph 2021-23 external reviewer, Siggraph 2020 Theater Subcommittee, Webby Awards judge, and Visual Effects Society (VES) member. She has been the faculty lead for high profile projects for SCADpro, SCAD’s Innovation Center utilizing real-time technologies including Google YouTube, Google Daydream, Deloitte Digital, Samsung’s NBNL (Next Business No Limit), and Gulfstream Aerospace. The projects created in these innovation studios have launched into real product features in many of the mentioned projects. SuAnne specializes in fundamental interactive theories; cultural impacts of technology; and methods in which applications of technology and human interaction extend to experiential design. Her current focus concentrates on strategies between education and industry for future talent preparation and technology adoption.
