Asante Bradford is Senior Engagement Manager with the Center of Innovation for Digital Entertainment and Emerging Media for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the sales and marketing arm for the State of Georgia.
The Center of Innovation is a strategic arm of the Georgia Department of Economic Development; a provider of a wide range of services and programs to businesses of all types and sizes. The Center’s specialty is drilling down to the details and linking new and expanding businesses to our expert staff members, external partners, and independent mentors who can help spark inspired solutions for challenges and opportunities of any size.
Georgia already has a significant presence in this arena, especially in the areas of film, television, music, video games, and animation.
The Center is part of a team working toward increasing Georgia’s presence in the creative technology space, making the state the global content creation capital, providing practical expertise and links to opportunities, improving investment channels and training, and working with business, industry, and education partners to develop new resources.
Asante helps promote the growth of the digital media industry as well as identify initiatives that will help grow businesses for the state of Georgia in interactive entertainment and sports innovation. He also helps educate potential prospects and provide clients with information about the Georgia Entertainment Industry Incentives Act.
His area of concentration with the Center of Innovation is to increase the impact of interactive entertainment for the State of Georgia as well as being a dedicated liaison to assist with promotions, logistics and business development for attracting digital media companies outside the state to relocate in Georgia.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Bradford was the Digital Entertainment Liaison for the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development from 2007-2010 which helped Georgia become known as a center for video game development, animation and digital media. The economic impact of the entertainment industry in Georgia jumped from $413 million to $2.4 billion in that time span.
