Founder and CEO, A Touch of Blakk
Savannah-native & 2014 graduate of Windsor Forest High School. Alix has always had a charming and outgoing personality and an enterprising spirit. At the age of nine Alix started his own dog-walking business, AJ” s Pampered Pets. That was his very first business undertaking, but it certainly not his last. In 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, Alix launched a business called “A Touch of Blakk” (An Unwanted Necessity). A Touch of Blakk started as an idea to give people exposure to the African American culture and experience through the creation of T-Shirt logos that have uplifting and positive images of the African American experience. It blossomed from an idea to a well-established brand that challenges and provides motivation for individualistic change. Alix is not just about making money; he wants to make a difference. He really has a passion for bringing awareness to Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurship. He believes that many businesses do not prosper, because they do not always have sufficient exposure, platforms, and information. It was out of this belief that Alix launched the First Annual Black Business Expo, which was successful in bringing together over 50 Black millennial business owners. Not only is Alix Baptiste a serial entrepreneur but he’s also a motivational speaker who speaks at various community events, schools and churches to inspire and motivate people to follow their dreams, and last but most importantly he’s a father of four.
